Atara Jaffe is a Naturopathic physician licensed in Vermont and Washington state. Her philosophy to medicine is a patient-centered approach, where provider and patient work as a partnership to achieve the individual’s physical and mental wellness goals. She believes in cultivating healing and balanced lifestyle through integrative and evidence-based modalities which range from pharmaceutical to botanical to manual to nutritional and everything in between.
Originally from New Jersey, she completed her undergraduate degree at Tulane University in Environmental Studies and Psychology, and graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. She completed a 2-year Naturopathic Oncology residency at AIMS Institute in Seattle, WA under mentorship of Dr. Leanna Standish, ND, PhD where she served as chief resident and director of IV training. Her training encompassed integrative cancer care, ketamine assisted psychotherapy and primary care and included rotations with local medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgeons, as well as training in ketamine assisted psychotherapy, counseling, and primary care physicians. Atara’s areas of passion and focus include oncology, primary care, IV therapy, palliative and end-of-life care, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and physical medicine modalities such as manipulation and craniosacral therapy. She is a member of OncANP and serves on the Residency Committee and leads the Residency Group Meetup monthly. She has experience working for various nutraceutical companies prior to and during her schooling and maintains an interest in the uses of both modern and traditional botanicals and natural formulas. In her spare time, Atara enjoys all things outdoors, woodworking, jewelry making, tutoring students and exploring her creativity. |
