Dr. Duval received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. During her medical training, she completed clinical rotations and preceptorships with a strong focus on community health, pediatrics, and midwifery. She fulfilled her NARM requirements for Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) licensure through a two-year preceptorship at Maternidad La Luz in El Paso, Texas, where she provided culturally responsive care to underserved BIPOC communities. “I was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Jamaican immigrant parents who were deeply committed to ensuring I knew where I came from. To ground me in my culture, they made the intentional decision to have my siblings and me spend summers in Jamaica throughout my childhood. Those years shaped not only my identity, but also my understanding of health, healing, and community. The landscape of Jamaica was my first introduction to naturopathic medicine. Jamaica is home to over half of the world’s medicinal plants, and I was immersed in a culture where herbal knowledge was shared across generations. Those early experiences planted the seed for my lifelong interest in naturopathic medicine and integrative care. Long before I had the language for it, I understood that healing was relational, culturally rooted, and deeply connected to the natural world. That foundation continues to guide the way I practice medicine today.” Dr. Duval loves playing tennis, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and traveling to explore new places. These hobbies keep her energized, inspired, and ready to bring her best self to every patient visit. Dr. Duval is accepting new patients! |
