Shane is a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) specializing in CBT, person-centered therapy and solutions-focused approaches. He holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from The College of William and Mary in Virginia and previously worked in community mental health in Vermont for four years.
Shane is passionate about working with members of marginalized populations. He meets each client where they are and is committed to creating a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. Whether they’re navigating identity, relationships, or self-acceptance, he is there to support his clients unconditionally, assisting them with uncovering practical strategies and empowering them to overcome challenges. “My approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and collaboration. I celebrate diversity and honor an individual's unique experiences.” “I was born and raised in East Texas. I first came to Vermont in 2000 when the civil union laws were passed, and I was finally able to move here with my partner from Oklahoma in 2014. I enjoy hiking, kayaking and continuing to explore this state that I’m fortunate to now call home.” |
