First Post!

Welcome!!
This is SNFW's first blog post. Please bear with us as we adjust to the new set-up! My hope is that this blog will be a resource of information for its readers.  It will include over time, various health topic articles, clinic information, and current goings ons.. 

 Today is day 3 post Hurricane Irene and things are starting to look up. In the aftermath of the hurricane and all the destruction I am amazed and awed by the huge response from friends, strangers, neighbors to get together to help out in their community.  Already I am hearing of bridges being restored, roads opening, and in my own little town, I can see the drastic improvement as mud is clearing from people's homes and businesses. I hope all of you stayed dry and safe during this time.

NEW EVENTS:

THERMOGRAPHY CLINIC:  
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month!  In celebration of awareness, SNFW will be hosting a thermography clinic on October 12th!  Janice Anderson, a registered nurse and certified clinical thermographer, will be on site to perform thermography for women who choose to have breast cancer screening without radiation exposure. Please read more about this widely used, non-invasive diagnostic method here at  http://www.insideoutthermography.com .  There will be a free informational talk the evening before the screening on October 11th at the clinic. Time to be announced. I will also have information posted at the clinic if you would like to stop by to pick up some resources.

FREE REIKI SESSIONS:
On Friday September 30th between 2-5pm, Reiki Master, Lisa-Anne Loucka will be setting up shop at SNFW to provide 20 minute free/donation reiki sessions to patients.  If you have never received a treatment before and always wondered what it is like, now is your chance!
